Morning Routine:
- Before Eye Cream:
- Use a lightweight hydrating serum or essence to prep the skin around your eyes.
- Apply any brightening serums like Vitamin C carefully around the orbital bone, avoiding direct contact with the eye.
- After Eye Cream:
- Follow with sunscreen to protect the sensitive eye area from UV damage.
Evening Routine:
- Before Eye Cream:
- Use hydrating or firming serums containing niacinamide or peptides.
- Avoid layering strong exfoliating acids or retinol too close to the eye area unless specifically formulated for it. If using retinol, apply a very thin layer to the orbital bone only, then follow with the eye cream to provide a protective barrier.
- After Eye Cream:
- Lock in moisture with a nourishing moisturizer or facial oil, ensuring it doesn't migrate into the eyes. Avoid layering multiple actives directly on the eye area to minimize the risk of irritation.
